Editorial Standards
Accuracy, evidence, context, and transparency guide the work of Asmara Express.
Verification and sourcing
Before publishing an Asmara Express fact-check or editorial report, reviewers should assess the claim, identify original and independent sources where feasible, examine conflicting evidence, and disclose relevant uncertainty. Official statements are attributed as statements, not automatically treated as independently confirmed facts.
Clear categories
Reports published by Asmara Express are separate from external publisher headlines, opinion, community listings, and advertisements. Headlines drawn from other publishers link to those publishers and are not independently verified by Asmara Express solely because they appear on this website.
Review and independence
Fact-checks and editorial reports require independent review and authorization by appropriately designated personnel. An author should not be the sole approver of their own reporting. Editorial decisions must not be purchased by sponsors or donors.
Languages and corrections
Only reviewed and approved translations should be presented as official public editions. Readers may report errors or missing context using the Corrections process.
Governance status: These standards are governed by Asmara Express Editorial Governance and Publication Policy AE-POL-001, Version 1.0, formally approved and effective October 28, 2026. Independent editorial approval is mandatory. Authors may not approve their own reports.
